SIC Processing AG SiC Group is one of world’s leading recycling solutions providers in the field of mechanical wetcutting technologies for the wafer industry, including corresponding logistics solutions. It specialises in preparing cutting fluids consisting of solid silicon carbide and fluid glycol that are used to produce wafers for the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries. Slurry must be replaced after multiple uses and then either properly disposed of or recycled. With the aid of two processes based on hydrocyclone technology, the SiC Group recovers silicon carbide and glycol from the slurry used by wafer producers and prepares them for reuse in the sawing process. By doing so, the SiC Group provides its customers long-term cost advantages. In addition to the actual recovery and conditioning services, SiC Group also offers comprehensive logistics services for wafer manufacturers in the field of cutting fluid management. These include transport, storage and procurement of input materials and slurry. The SiC Group operates slurry recycling sites in China, Germany, Norway, Italy and the US and achieved a turnover of approximately 100m EUR in 2009. |
