Dear Shareholders and Friends of Cleantech Invest AG,We are delighted to announce a successful exit in our portfolio. In June this year a large Private Equity firm called Nordic Capital took over the majority stake in SiC Processing AG. Within this transaction Cleantech Invest AG sold all of its shares. Cleantech Invest AG invested in early 2008 into SiC Processing AG and was able to buy additional shares in 2009.
This successful Exit, evident by an attractive exit multiple and after a holding period of less than 2.5 years, validates our investment approach focused on established, fast growing Cleantech-companies in the German-speaking region. On another note, we were recently able to present solid financial results to our shareholders in the Half Year 2010 Financial Report (IFRS – unaudited): Over the period Earnings before Tax (EBT) were EUR 1.14 million. Financial Income (interest revenues not included) amounted to EUR 2.34 million. The Net Asset Value (NAV) according to IFRS increased to EUR 0.66 per share as at 30th June 2010. Cleantech Invest AG has been a shareholder of SiC Processing AG for almost three years. Through the purchase of additional shares from an existing shareholder, Cleantech Invest AG was able to double its stake in SiC Processing AG in summer 2009 – making it the largest investment in its portfolio. SiC Processing is a leading supplier in the recovery and processing of sawing slurry in silicon wafer production. The company generates over 90% of revenues from customers in photovoltaic wafer manufacturing, but also serves major manufacturers in the semiconductor industry. Its headquarters are located in Hirschau, Germany and the company runs production facilities in Germany, Norway, Italy, China and the USA.
ralos New Energies AG announces its 2009 results and outlook 2010
The abolishment of feed-in-tariffs for some free standing systems in Germany effective October 1, 2010, should provide for favourable market conditions and the company is expecting several orders in Germany in 2010. Overall, the GLP pipeline amounts to more than 150 MWp.
