Dear Shareholders and Friends of Cleantech Invest AG,

We are delighted to announce a successful exit in our portfolio.

In June this year a large Private Equity firm called Nordic Capital took over the majority stake in SiC Processing AG. Within this transaction Cleantech Invest AG sold all of its shares. Cleantech Invest AG invested in early 2008 into SiC Processing AG and was able to buy additional shares in 2009.

Jürgen HabichlersIn this regard we want to particularly thank the management of SIC Processing AG. The professionalism and rigour which the management displayed in steering the company through a tough macro-economic climate whilst maintaining rapid growth inspired us during our cooperation period. We were also delighted that our strategy proposals and ideas were implemented effectively over that time frame. Naturally, we wish the management of SiC Processing AG all the best going forward and hope that they can further cement their market leadership position.

This successful Exit, evident by an attractive exit multiple and after a holding period of less than 2.5 years, validates our investment approach focused on established, fast growing Cleantech-companies in the German-speaking region.

On another note, we were recently able to present solid financial results to our shareholders in the Half Year 2010 Financial Report (IFRS – unaudited): Over the period Earnings before Tax (EBT) were EUR 1.14 million. Financial Income (interest revenues not included) amounted to EUR 2.34 million. The Net Asset Value (NAV) according to IFRS increased to EUR 0.66 per share as at 30th June 2010. The Half Year 2010 Financial Report of Cleantech Invest AG can be reviewed on our Website.

In addition to managing our existing portfolio companies Sinosol AG, Ralos New Energies AG and Pure Klimaschutz AG our focus continues to be on the acquisition of new growth capital investments, especially in attractive segments such as Energy Efficiency, E-Mobility, Recycling or New Materials.

This newsletter aims to inform you on the latest developments of Cleantech Invest AG, including the positive responses we received in the course of the SiC Processing AG exit as well as the Half Year 2010 Financial Results.

We hope you will find the following paragraphs informative and would greatly appreciate your feedback and constructive criticism.

Best regards,

Your
