Gabriel Meurer, Venture Partner
Gabriel has in total 25 years of business experience in senior financial positions.
After graduating from the University of Cologne with a Diploma in business administration, Gabriel worked in senior structured finance positions for Mannesmann Anlagenbau AG and Krupp Industrietechnik GmbH, Duisburg. Thereafter, he managed the Group Corporate Finance Department at SIG Combibloc GmbH, Linnich (aseptic liquid packaging). Subsequently he moved to Bangkok, Thailand, founded Combibloc Asia Ltd. and worked there as CFO and Member of the Board of Directors to set up new Asian production facilities. In the following, he worked at Hochtief AG, Essen, as Head of Strategic Projects & M&A. He was member of the Group Investment Committee for airports, toll roads and real estate. Later he headed the Financial Services Group. He successfully closed several infrastructure and corporate acquisitions (total transaction value > 6.0 Billion USD).
Since 2004 he took over Board positions in the emerging renewable energy sector where he originated and headed national and international transactions in the wind, biogas, and photovoltaic sector (transaction value > 500 Million EUR) for renergys GmbH, Ladenburg/ St. Gallen and agri.capital GmbH, Münster/ Luxembourg.

Dr. Günter Schneider
Dr. Günter Schneider is Managing Director and principal shareholder of enolcon GmbH, an international consulting and engineering company focusing on highly efficient and regenerative energy generation. Previously, Dr. Schneider was a Managing Director of the international energy solutions group M+W Zander FE GmbH (today known as M+W Germany GmbH), where he administered all European activities and was also Executive Board Speaker. Dr. Günter Schneider is distinguished by 17 years of management experience in the energy sector, including heading international EPC contracting business Koch Transporttechnik GmbH, working as a Managing Director and Country Manager for Fortum Energy GmbH Germany division before the company was sold to E.ON Energie AG. Prior, he was responsible for managing successful strategic power plant acquisitions in Southeast Asia for EnBW. Dr. Günter Schneider, a ‘Diplom-Engineer’, holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.

Dr. Arno Strehler
Dr. Strehler is recognized as one of the most significant pioneers in the Biomass sector, having developed alternative and clean energy projects since the 1970’s. Becoming department head of Engineering-Plant Production at Germany’s Bavarian Institute for Agricultural Technology (Bayrische Landesanstalt für Landtechnik), Dr. Strehler was responsible for several national and international renewable energy projects. In 2002 Dr. Strehler received the exclusive Euro Solar Award and in 2005 he received the Bavarian Lion award – both awards handed over for extraordinary performance and achievement in the Clean Technology sector. Since 2005 Dr. Strehler has been active as an independent consultant in the Biomass sector.

Markus P. Stebler
Markus P. Stebler has more than 13 years experience in venture capital and private equity investing. He worked as an executive for the German speaking countries in a growth-finance focused venture capital group with entities in Switzerland and Boston, USA. As a member of their investment decision board (responsible for USA and Germany) Markus took responsibility for the evaluation, and assessment of more than 200 investment projects, “deal structuring” and contract development on all levels. Markus represented the investor interests in several Portfolio Companies as part of the “Supervisory Team” or as a member of the administrative board. With his own consultancy, he supports investors in the acquisition and build-up of shareholdings and investments in innovative companies in Switzerland and the surrounding (predominately German speaking) countries. Prior to this assignment Markus worked as CFO and Head Pension Fund for a Swiss retail group responsible for finance, cash/currency/forex management and the evaluation and implementation of a group IT-solution; He was leading the pension fund and managing its assets. In addition, he was involved in the repositioning of the group and the evaluation and realisation of the restructuring and the (part-) sale of the group and the group owned assets as a member of the Strategy Team. Markus P. Stebler holds the title of lic. iur. from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
